Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, politician and philanthropist who served as president of South Africa in the period 1994-1999. Nelson Mandela was a leader recognized worldwide for his great human spirit, and for always believing in a better world. He went through many difficult times, but never gave up and continued chasing the dream of achieving freedom for South Africa. He was always an extraordinary citizen, and an example of citizen who loved his people, and fought at all times to achieve a better life for all his people.
